Membership in ALWD is open to all current professional teachers of legal writing at Qualifying Law Schools* with no limit on the number of ALWD members at a school.  ALWD’s annual membership dues are $50 per member.  These membership dues allow ALWD to provide professional development funding to members of the legal writing community.  These professional development funds support such initiative as Teaching Grants, Scholarship Grants, the ALWD Distinguished Speaker Series, and the ALWD Leadership Academy.

In addition to an unlimited number of members, each law school is entitled to designate two delegates – members who can vote in elections and serve as officers/directors – each academic year.

For more information on membership or to designate delegates, please contact the ALWD Board secretary.
